Tomorrow lunchtime we’ll start our Transfer Deadline Day coverage, which will roll into Tuesday evening. If you hear of any rumours please do contact me via the Contact Box at the top of the page.
To start us off, here are the players we are being heavily linked with, together with my analysis of who is most and least likely to sign.
Charlie Austin
I still wouldn’t be surprised to see us sign him. But it’s still only a 3/10!
Nicola Jelavic
The backstop option. £3.5 million. Hull will sell. 8/10
Pione Sisto
The FC Midtjylland striker apparently feels he isn’t ready for the Premier League, but West Ham remain keen. 7/10
Victor Moses
Year long loan. 8/10
Alex Song
Everyone wants him but can he pass the medical. 8/10
Emmanuel Adebayor
Spurs won’t pay any of his wages. Will go to the wire. 5/10
Javier Hernandez
Wage demands and interest from Bayer Leverkusen make this unlikely. 5/10
Burak Yilmaz
Two bids but he would be a risk. Never played outside Turkey and is 30. 4/10
Aaron Lennon
Back up for Moses, but would Levy sell to us? No. Everton bound. 3/10
Simone Zaza
Not happening. 1/10
Michail Antonion
Bid rejected. Jarvis doesn’t want to be part of the deal. 4/10
And those who may go?
James Collins
Wanted by Norwich, but our defensive frailties will probably mean he will stay.
Matt Jarvis
Doesn’t want to go out on loan. Which probably means he won’t.
Morgan Amalfitano
Frozen out after row with Bilic. Likely to go out on loan. WBA?
There may also be a couple of younger players like Elliot Lee farmed out on loan.
So, I reckon the most likley outcome is Jelavic, Moses and Song joining us, with Amalfitano leaving. We’ll see if I’m right.
