About me

Followed the Hammers for the past 40 years.

My most enjoyable time was the mid 80's to mid 90's when so many great players lined up for us that often get forgotten about (Bishop, Ward, Goddard, etc).

Thoroughly depressed at the thought of 'what could have been' if we had never sold our youngsters, Joe Cole, Lampard, Ferdinand, Carrick, Johnson, Defoe, etc. (even John Terry).

Grew up in the East End, and have claret and blue in my blood. My dear old Nan (who passed away this year aged 96), used to tell me stories of Moore, Hurst and Peters coming round hers for tea. She used to hang her banners out of the window on Match Day, even when she moved to Upminster back in the day when it was "ever so posh"...much to annoyance of her neighbours.

Living in Surrey now, and always amazed how many Hammers get on the train when I take my boy to the odd game that I attend now. Proudest moment as a father was my son going to a local coaching school run by Chelsea. All the other boys were in their Chelsea kits, but my son was wearing his claret and blue with pride. On the first day there he went up to the coaches and told them that "he doesn't like Chelsea!"....Priceless.

I’m a FA Level 2 Coach, embarking on my UEFA B and coach an Elite youth team and absolutely love it although it means I rarely get to see the Hammers live now.

COYI!

How I came to support West Ham

Born in Manor Park, and my entire family were avid West Ham fans. In short I would have been disowned if I supported any other team!

My best West Ham memory

Lucky enough to have been at the 1980 FA Cup Final. The memory of me sitting on my dad's shoulders at the parading of the cup on the bus by the team still sends shivers down my spine.

Not a classic match, but until we win something else, it has to be my Best West Ham game

The best West Ham game I’ve ever seen

I'm sure if I thought about this for longer then I may come up with something else, but I was at the 5-4 win against Bradford on February 12th 2000, where all seemed lost when 4-2 down. PDC was being fouled left right and centre, and actually requested to
