About me
User_square_mini_default

Lancastrian. As a teenager I only saw away games near my home town. Thus in my first 28 Hammers games I only saw two victories - both at Goodison - and a few tonkings. Later lived in Portsmouth, Middlesex, India, and now Solihull. Through thick and thin (mostly thin of course) I stayed a Hammer, always proud of our footballing philosophy. Difficult to say that now with Allardyce at the helm. Previously, even if we lost I could take it if we had tried to win; better than defeats now where we have just set up not to lose the game.

How I came to support West Ham

1st Cup Final I watched was West Ham Preston. Their style of football kept me a Hammer even though it would have been easier to support one of the teams more local to me (the Manchester and Liverpool clubs).

My best West Ham memory

Clyde Best's unbelievable solo goal at Goodison in about 1972.

The best West Ham game I’ve ever seen

5-4 over Bradford in 2000
