South London Hammer since 1967From: London, United Kingdom Born: 1962
Grew up in South London, but supported WHUFC since the age of 5 because of the quality of the football played - back then by Moore, Hurst, Peters & co. Only get to a few games each season.
How I came to support West Ham
I started primary school in 1967, just a year after Bobby Moore had lifted the World Cup for England thanks to goals scored by Hurst & Peters. Supporting West Ham was a no-brainer.
My best West Ham memory
1. Beating Fulham in the 1975 FA cup final
2. Meeting Trevor Brooking when he came into the box I was in after an England friendly against Turkey at the old Wembley.
3. Having dinner with Alan Devonshire, thanks to a pal who was chairman of Maidenhead when Dev was manager there.
The best West Ham game I’ve ever seen
The 8-1 thrashing of Newcastle Utd - those were the days.
