How I came to support West Ham

I came from east end stock but was bought up in Belfast, travelling over during my teens to watch Boxing Day fixtures during the seventies- including a 1-0 home defeat to Orient, and Alan Curbishley scoring against Birmingham. When I moved over in 1980 I became a regular at Upton Park and followed the team up and down the country. My season ticket loyalty has fluctuated in recent years but still a Hammer through and through

My best West Ham memory

Three - the two leg league cup semi final v Coventry in 1981 (I attended both), the 8-1 win against Newcastle in 1986 (UP was rocking), and the FA Cup semi final loss to Villa (Billy Bonds Claret and Blue Army)

The best West Ham game I’ve ever seen
