How I came to support West Ham

I was taken by my Dad. First game was against Everton in 1966 which we lost 3-2 but I loved the feel of the place. The old South Bank was exciting for a 7 year old. I remember being taken down the front near to the old chicken run side. Supported ever since but stopped coming for a long time after the bond scheme. Although I understand the business logic behind the move I much much prefer Upton Park and am missing it badly

My best West Ham memory

I have been lucky enough to get to the 75 and 80 FA cup finals and have loads of great memories but two games probably compete to be the best; (1) West Ham versus Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg semi where the atmosphere and the whole second half was unbelievable. I remember tearing my hair out for the final whistle because if they had scored we would have gone out on the away goals rule and (2) 1980 FA cup semi final replay at Leeds when we beat Everton with Frank Lampard's header. I remember the celebrations all the way down the M1 in the evening mind you Trev's header to beat Arsenal in the Final and the celebrations were also great moments. Highbury 75 FA cup quarter final. I could go on.

The best West Ham game I’ve ever seen

So many but probably Second leg semi final at the BG under the lights in 1976 against Eintracht Franfurt which was a brilliant win and unbelievable second half.
