About me

I’ve been a West Ham fan for nearly fifty years and still can’t shake the habit. I used to be a regular at the ground when I lived in London but now I’m at the other end of the country I’m mostly an armchair fan.

How I came to support West Ham

When I was six I watched the Cup Final and told my dad I would support the team that was winning. Who knew there would be so little winning over the next 46 years?

My best West Ham memory

Weirdly probably the cup semi-final at Villa Park in 1991 where we got thrashed and sung our hearts out. Never been so proud or felt so much part of the family as I did on the terrace that day.

The best West Ham game I’ve ever seen

The 3-2 win against Manchester United in the last game at Upton Park
