Southern boy emigrated to Yorkshire. Worked in the travel industry for 40 years. Supported West Ham through thin and thin since 1971. Season ticket holder in the Chicken Run 89-99.
How I came to support West Ham
Family of West Ham supporters dating back to the 30s. My kids are following the tradition.
My best West Ham memory
First match, Southampton 3 West Ham 3 at the Dell, December 1971. Brooking, Best and Bonds scored. 3 up at half time. Drew 3-3! Being at the Cup Final in 2006, even though not the result we wanted. But still amazing to be there. Being at the 2012 Play Off Final.
The best West Ham game I’ve ever seen
We beat Spurs 4-3 in a stormy match in 1997. The Julian Dicks penalty to win it.
