About me
An Upminster based fan who attended home games in the 70's and 80's standing in the middle of the North Bank. Been In Sydney since 1990. Only been to the new ground once, had a very enjoyable experience in Sept 2019 beating Man Utd . Big fan of Brooking/ Devonshire / Bonds / Martin / David Cross / Phil Parkes hence showing my vintage . Went to the 1975 Cup Final as a teenager, missed 1980 but made the League Cup Final at Wembley in 1981 where the Sammy Lee offside goal cheated us of victory.

Lived in Upminster , West Ham were closest club and the natural one to support
My best West Ham memory
Best match was the 1980 Semi final replay vs Everton at Elland Road ( I also went to the Villa Park game) which is about as emotional as I have been at a football game. Still paying football in Aus in over 45 age group , tall centre back or full back usually
