Transfer Deadline Day 4: Tuesday Morning Rolling News

New thread above

12.42 We now have a potential selection of forwards of Carroll, Sakho, Jelavic, Valencia, Zarate, Lee. Perhaps Adebayor would be one too many…
12.41 ExWHUEmployee reckons the Antonio deal will still happen.
11.54 Paul Taylor, A football writer for the Nottingham Post has tweeted “In the space of me driving to the office, much has seemingly happened… Antonio move to West Ham may have life in it again” Forest are said to be holding out for a better deal for Antonio.
11.52 Turkish media Karren Brady has flown to Istanbul this morning to hold talks with Burak Yilmaz. Turkish media Milliyet reporting that the two sides are still a million (or two) Euros apart. Burak Yilmaz. Burak Yilmaz would be a done deal for about £7M (little over €9M).
11.51 Jack Sullivan just tweeted “Just one more”.
11:37 Nikica Jelavic has signed on a two year deal with an option for a further two year WHUFC.com have confirmed
11.36 Nikica Jelavic has signed, according to KUMB. They have a pic of him with a West Ham shirt. Nothing on the official site, yet, though.
11.34 The West Ham website has full details of the Moses signing.
10.51 Sky are saying that Jelavic has passed his medical but the deal with Hull isn’t yet done. Probably because they are seeing if they can get Adebayor on a free.
10.45 According to Sports Mole Nikica Jelovic has been spotted in a West Ham shirt. Sadly they don’t provide any evidence.
10.37 Sorry for the pause. I’ve been at the dentist. Apparently the Antonio move is stalling because Forest are demanding the whole £7 million up front. the Mirror? has more.
09:29 Jack Sullivan confirms that Victor Moses has signed for West Ham on a one year loan deal. No more domestic loans allowed now.
08.46 Victor Moses has signed a new contract with Chelsea and will be moving to West Ham on a seaon long loan according to Sky. That means if we take Adebayor, we’d have to buy him.
08.45 According to Sky, the deal to bring Forest winger Michail Antonio to Upton Park has stalled.
08.12 Going back to the point about loans, I suppose it’s either Moses or Adebayor. We can’t have both. I hope the West Ham negotiators are better aware of the transfer rules than Manchester United seem to be.
08.09 talkSport’s Moose has just tweeted that Adebayor is close to signing on loan.
08.07 There are lots of sites speculating that Cheikhou Kouyate may be off to Spurs. The Sun, for instance, reckons he is keen to go. I suspect this is part of a Spurs dirty trick campaign, but stranger things have happened.
08.04 Someone in the comments alleges we would have to buy Adebayor rather than take him on loan. As I understand it we are allowed a maximum of two domestic loans. We’ve already got Jenkinson so could have one more. Song and Lanzini don’t count as they are international loans.
07.54 Sky are reporting that Adebayor held talks last night with Slaven Bilic. Perhaps this is the reason the Jelavic transfer hasn’t been announced yet. I can’t think we’ll sign both.
07.35 No sign of any outgoings yet – the most likely candidates are Morgan Amalfitano, Matt Jarvis and possibly (but hopefully not) James Collins.
07.33 According to the Shields Gazette West Ham tried to hijack Sunderland’s signing of Fabio Borini yesterday, but Borini wasn’t having any of it, thank God.
07.32 David Gold has confirmed the signing of Alex Song. I was a bit worried because Jack Sullivan had deleted his tweet from yesterday. He says three further signings are expected – presumably Jelavic, Antonio and Moses.
07.30 How about this for a corker… Charlie Austin could be on his way. According to Born to be Claret & Blue? we have submitted a £12 million bid plus Matt Jarvis. I’d love it to be true, but…
07.29 Well I wonder what the day will bring. Hopefully Moses, Antonio, Jelavic and who knows who else? I’ll keep you updated as regularly as I can, bearing in mind it’s my first day back at work after two weeks off.
