Rumour Round-Up: Dozen Strikers On West Ham Shortlist

The Evening Standard claim that up to 12 strikers are being targeted by West Ham before the transfer window closes in just over 2 weeks time. Emmanuel Adebayor is named in the article, along with Javier Hernandez, but after the debacle in January I would be very surprised to see Gold & Sullivan go back to Tottenham with an offer for the Togo forward.

West Ham are set to rival Charlton in the race for Dagenham & Redbridge youngster Jordi Jones. The 17 year old forward was watched by around 50 scouts in a pre-season game against Crystal Palace and is tipped for a bright future in the game. With the recent emergence of Reece Burke & Reece Oxford perhaps Jones could be tempted to come to the Hammers? This article also has a report from Sam Allardyce slamming the owners for being ‘ungrateful’ and stating that we won’t be qualifying for Europe this year….that amicable parting of ways seems to be less and less true as the days go by.

Former Hammer Rob Green says? he expects to be back at West Ham before the end of the transfer window. Whilst he may not be happy to play second fiddle to Adrian, and Darren Randolph certainly won’t be happy to be pushed back to 3rd choice keeper after only signing last month, it would be nice to see Green coming back. He was always a favourite of mine and to be honest we should have done everything we could to keep him a few years back. Not sure what this would mean for Randolph but he hasn’t really done too much wrong in the games he has played.

Have a good weekend everyone!! COYI!!
