OK, OK, it may be a little early to even speculate about who will get Hammer of the Year, but it’s a Monday morning, with nearly two weeks to go until our next game, and I don’t feel like writing about Andy Carroll’s dislocated finger if I’m honest.
If I had written this post before Christmas, there would probably have been only two contenders – Winston Reid and Mark Noble, And I suspect Winston would have won hands down. But how time changes things.
I think we can now certainly add James Collins into the equation, as well as possibly Adrian. As I have said before, I’ll wait a little longer to be totally convinced by our new goalkeeper but I recognise the fact that he has become a bit of a cult figure.
My personal choice for the season so far would be Mark Noble, followed closely by James Collins.
