LIVE BLOG: Transfer Deadline Day - Evening Edition

Evening all! This is the last part of our live blog extravaganza. Sorry it’s not been more exciting, but you can only deal with the material you’re given. And there hasn’t been an awful lot of that today. If you have any news, links or gossip to impart please email them to me directly via the Contacts link at the top of the page.

23.13 We are now Maigaless.

22.35 Seems it is indeed true. Tweet from Jack Sullivan: “IT LOOKS LIKE MAIGA IS GOING TO QPR ON LOAN, paperwork should be finalised within 15 mins.
Its not done yet”. Fingers crossed.

22.25 Can it be true? Could Modibo Maiga really be moving to QPR? Can they be that desperate?!

20.40 Any hopes of signing Jesse Vollen from Genk were scuppered when they upped the price to £8 million. That’s according to the Mail.

20.30 Anyone care to comment that so far this transfer window we haven’t actually spent a single penny on a permanent signing. Every player who has come in has been a loan signing. I shall return to this in a full blogpost over the weekend.

20.26 Oops, I see McDermott has just been sacked. How quickly these things change.

20.24 I’m told Ross McCormack has just been on SSN more or less begging clubs to come and get him, despite professing loyalty to Brian McDermott. Not totally sure he’s what we need, but there you go.

20.23 Oooh, Joleon Lescott has just tweeted: “A loan move was never on the cards for me it had nothing to do with wages just simply a chance to win 4 trophy’s with #City this season”. OK, if you say so, Joleon. Keep taking the tablets.

20.21 So, I am on the 8.10 back to Tonbridge and thinking, surely something interesting must have happened while I have been on the radio, but it seems not. For shame. Still, at least we have kept Ravel Morrison. There is a God.
