When Paolo Di Canio was asked about a potential return to West Ham during a BBC Football Focus interview over the weekend, he replied: “They chant my name all the time, even years ago before I was a manager. Because of my experiences there, they were always my family. Everybody know it’d be special for me to return. But I don’t want to say now, it’s not fair. All I can say is one day, before the end, before I go up or down or whatever place they’re going to send me, it has to happen. It’s obvious. That is my destiny.”
