West Ham appear to be very close to signing a back up striker on loan with Marco Borriello expected to have a medical today with West Ham after flying into London.
In a sign the deal is close Borriello followed West Ham United’s official twitter yesterday then sent a tweet to Roma fans thanking them which looked like a a farewell note.
The medical is expected to take place at Holly House Private Hospital in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. There is a possibility two medicals will take place today according to sources close to the hospital.
Borriello has scored 82 career goals from 290 appearances. 12 of those for Roma from 52 appearances.
