RULES ON COMMENTS
I do not moderate comments before they appear, unless you have never commented before, in which case I have to approve your first comment. If that is approved you can then post in real time from then on.
I welcome a healthy debate on this blog. It’s what blogging is all about. Strongly worded comments are acceptable, but libellous ones are not. It is commonly thought that somehow bloggers operate outside the law of libel. This is an incorrect assumption. If I feel that any comment could be construed as libellous I will not allow it through comment moderation or retrospectively delete it.
Swearing is banned on this blog. If you use a swear word in your comment, again, it is liable to be deleted without explanation.
Anonymous posting is no longer allowed, although you are able to post under a pseudonym if you have first registered an account. If your post is insulting to me or other people posting in the thread I reserve the right not to allow it through. Persistent abuse of me, the host of this blog, by way of spurious allegations or name-calling is liable to result in a ban, either for a period of time or permanently. You may disagree with me, but there is a limit to my patience if my hospitality is abused.
Please try to be as polite as possible. People seem to think that the internet can be used to say things to people which you would never dream of saying to their face. Strong argument is welcomed, but please try to steer clear of personal insults where possible.
If any of these rules are continually transgressed I reserve the right to ban an individual from posting further comments.
In short, I reserve the right to delete any comment made on this blog with no explanation. This is a debating forum which I have created and if people do not like my rules they should feel free not to participate.
If you have suggestions for further rules of engagement, please feel free to leave them in the comments on this thread.
These rules were created on 20 January 2008 and amended in mid 2008 in order to provide greater clarity. They were further updated on 24 November to reflect the fact that comment registration was introduced.
Swearing is not allowed on the blog, so I think it’s a shame the Hitler video contains the F word.
First-time visitors will probably view that video, but the ‘rules’ page might not be a priority… so I think that, although it’s quite funny, seeing the F word in such a prominent position so early on the page gives the wrong impression.
One of the things that sets this blog apart from other football blogs is the quality of debate and good standards of writing. Even in a comedy context I think those standards should be upheld. Thanks for the opportunity of airing that view.

There are so many bugs with this new layout mate! The edit button sometimes leaves posts in a mess!
During the Man City – West Ham game we were unable to comment because it was screwing all our posts up!
It is such a shame but on so many match days (during the game) the site is either down or not working properly.
And there are quite a few other problems too!
Ok__Having read all this re Grant and the owners – this is my view.
Firstly we need to lay off the owners they have saved the club financially big time and are improving it financially giving us hope for the future of the club
Next month it will be known that we also have a new home and stadium. Yes I believe Grant is the wrong man for the job although I admit I was wrong as I thought he would be the right one.
Next we must get rid of the rubbish in the squad – obviously LBM, Spector, Ilunga, Kovac and more and I would include Cole and Upson in that lot.
New manager – Sir Trev with PDC second in command – WHU through and through, new coaches and new investment in players in Jan in particular CB and believe it or not a centre forward who know where the goal is – why not offer a six month contract to Michael Owen!!!
