Thanks for not publishing the whole table Iain. I gave up after week 2.

  2. SkinnyChris says:

    Well done Andrew Jones!

The prize for coming top of the league is a place on the short list to become new West Ham manager!

  3. AussieGraham says:

The 2 Daves have increased their Hammers share to 60 %,please increase the class of players while your at it!

  4. Zasto says:

WTF has this really got to do with West Ham?

  5. Headmaster says:

Thoroughly enjoyed taking part again, Iain even if I did finish in the mid 300s! I'd be interested to know which regular posters (Zasto – oo ar ya?) had a team and who the highest ranked person was.

Guys, I might be a little slow today and I might still be hungover from last night but can someone please explain the post on the Official Site regarding some BASKETBALL player we might be signing???

    Has anyone seen it?

"West Ham United has emerged as a shock possible future destination for NBA basketball superstar LeBron James.

The Cleveland Cavaliers forward could become a free agent this summer, sparking a worldwide scramble for his services ahead of the new season.

The New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls, New Jersey Nets and Miami Heat are all rumoured to be interested in the 25-year-old, but Washington Post reporter Norman Chad has suggested that the Hammers could also be in the running.

"This would be the gutsy move for LeBron – head to England and the Premier League for a team that has never won a Premier League title," wrote Chad in his 'Couch Slouch' column.

"The team is without a manager, so LeBron could bring in his own guy. Granted, he's never played soccer, but, then again, David Beckham's a big deal and I don't think he ever plays soccer, either."

Akron, Ohio-born James, who has spent his entire professional career with the Cavaliers, is likely to command wages in the region of £200,000-a-week.

In the 2009/10 season, the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player earned a salary of $14.41m – or £9.949m by today's exchange rate.

Having played alongside Shaquille O'Neal at Cleveland this season, James has proved he can partner a bigger forward able to hold the ball up when surrounded by defenders. He is also well-known for his deadly long-range shooting and his willingness to take control of the game when his side is under pressure.

However, it remains to be seen whether the club would be interested in a player as yet unproven in the Barclays Premier League.

Any move to West Ham is likely to leave US President Barack Obama with mixed feelings, seeing as the former Illinois Senator is rumoured to support both the Bulls and the Hammers."

    WTF???????????

    • Headmaster says:

Oh my God, I had to go to the site and check it out for myself. People, Matt is NOT winding us up. For once, I am utterly speechless.
David Beckham………"Idon't think he ever plays soccer, either" !!!!!!!!!!!!
      Brady's at the meths again.
      Jesus.

      • MattRyan says:

        Thanks headmaster, I REALLY wasn't on a wind-up! I just couldn't believe it when I saw it!

Am I reading it right? Are we SERIOUSLY thinking about bidding for a BASKETBALL player who has NEVER played football?

In addition are we seriously considering his £200,000 a week wages?

I am soooooooo speechelss at this article! Please tell me the site was hacked!

  8. veldom says:

what is going on between the official site and j. spector? looks like he's been getting a lot of publicity in recent weeks. since the league ended there were around 2-3 articles a week about him!!!……IMO someone is giving him hand to get a contract extension!

    • MattRyan says:

Either that or West Ham are trying to drum up publicity for the boy to make it easier to sell him! Or at least that's what I hope!

    • Headmaster says:

I cannot tell you how wrong I hope you are, Veldom.
How would the Daves square that with listening to the supporters? Show me a supporter who thinks we should extend Spectator's contract and I'll show you a) a member of the Spector family or b) someone who needs help

  9. chrischris says:

Does Barry make it to the world cup?
Parker should play anyway and Lennon is better than Walcott.
Milners gone backwards,Johnson is far better, reminds me of a young Waddle.

  10. chrischris says:

    No make that Devonshire(almost)

  11. NCHammer says:

I came 270th which I thought was quite respectable!!

  12. veldom says:

log on to london2012.co, and you'll see the view our supporters will have if the track remains in place!

    • mrDET says:

Thanks for that , when you see it ,how can we not go for it ,You could spend a billion on Upton Park, and it would never look as impressive as this is going to be.

      • veldom says:

i agree that it looks impressive but those at the back would need a pair of binochulars to watch the game properly!

On the plus side, it doesn't look like we would have the problems that Wembley have in maintaining a pitch. The stadium design looks to maximise light and airflow around the pitch which is probably where Wembley got it wrong and the Emirates got it so right.

But apart from that, and that it is a very impressive building, I just can't see what use it would be to any football team. It's just too round, and I think it was deliberately designed this way to ensure that no Premiership football club would take it on – thereby preserving the athletics legacy. (Look at the City of Manchester stadium, it's oval, but not so wide as this one I'm sure).

Time to move on from this I think, and maybe start to consider other brownfield sites around the eastern stretch of the North Circular or to consider the upgrading of the Boleyn if we really need more capacity.

    • Kildarehammer says:

The seats are the wrong colour, they would have to go. Then you would need some big monitors to see what was actually happening on the pitch. It would be like watching ants play!

    • Jolly says:

It's not the Olympic Stadium, it's New Upton Park – every time i go past on the train on my way into Liverpool St i make a point of saying hello to the ground. I know the views won't be great but if we aspire to be a truly great team – this is where we HAVE to be.

      • SkinnyChris says:

        Bring on West Ham Olympic!

        • My seat is right behind penalty spot in BML. As Olympic stadium is oval that means seats in middle are furthest away from pitch. I am not relishing watching a subbuteo match! Personally I think SuGo are wrong to sell our biggest asset and move to rented stadium. I'd prefer to redevelop the East Stand

          • SkinnyChris says:

yeah mate i was messing around.

I'm mixed about moving. I'd like to move there but as you say the distance from the pitch is a joke.

  13. leehammer says:

Chairmen increase stake in club ……………lets wait for celtic's mystic meg figures to come on here, should be a laugh !. suprised he didnt already know they were moving in for more shares MR WALL STREET HIMSELF !

    • AussieGraham says:

EEEEEEZ only a poor little gasfitter!

      • AussieGraham says:

Typical from a bloke who introduced himself to me by the way of abuse and cant stand it when it is given back and boasts about real support and the money ,have a good look at what you write on here, hey he who is a hardcore chick magnet and uses expletives to fill in the gaps,by the way does your mum talk about me thesedays?

  14. HammersWest says:

Can't get to my final place (blocked at work) but I'll post it later, though probably not worth waiting for, I should have sold Cole sooner lol

  15. Headmaster says:

Blimey, the thumbs up/down icons have made a comeback…….

  16. Shropshire says:

I shouldn't really admit to this; 827th! That will teach me to put too many West Ham players in!

  17. James;, Young, Ben Haim, Da Costa, Belhadj; Yossi, Super Scott, KPB, O'Hara; Fletcher, Tardelli
Well according to latest rumours thats how team could look! seems ok to me!

  18. hammerjames says:

so basically g and s bout 10 % for 4 million with the other 4 MILL GOING TO THE club to bridge the gap between finiance anyone care to explain what this means cos im confused does it go off debt or is it for transfers im just not sure

also it seems like a very good deal on our part but i have my suspicions with G&S because that would effectivly get them the rest of the club 16mill and then 16mill invested to bridge the gap. Where is celtic when ya need him aye anyone else care to way in and explain please

  19. MattRyan says:

Oh NO! Why are the Thumbs up/down back??? This will just entice the idiots back if they know they can get to Celtic with their idiot antics!
