That is a sure sign that Brady and Co will sell Parker. Why? They are, it seems, hyping up the no sale sign in an effort to raise the price tag. Crafty lot these new owners.

I hope I am wrong. Also, I hope we dont end up seling our top flight players and replace them with Championship material. Seems to be on the cards as well. Like I said, I hope I am wrong.

  2. MattRyan says:

I actually don't think Parker will be sold and I also don't think that Villa (or anyone else for that matter) have bid for him or even shown interest! Not that they wouldn't want him, I just think they know they won't get him.

Karen Brady is a mess! Everything she says is just ridiculous! She's been around motor-mouth too long! Of course IF Villa came along with a £15Milloin offer for Parkerm then they will take it, and so they should! But the owners know who kept us in the EPL last year and they will want to call on him again if they do end up signing another bunch of Sunday leaguers! But Scotty won't put up with too long.

  3. Hayden214 says:

To me that says we won't sell Scott Parker…

  4. Peddler says:

Surely even the Daves couldn't misjudge the feelings of the fans badly enough to think that they could get away with selling Parker. Could they?

  5. SirTrevor says:

If the quotes from Brady are correct (and that's a big IF given the state of the media currently and some of the shambolic tosh supposedly coming from the club of late) then selling Parker would be a massive own goal. Surely S & G & B could not stoop that low – they would never be able to win back the trust of the club's support ever again. Obviously we will see over the course of the next couple of months but my feelings are that Scotty is going nowhere.

  6. SirTrevor says:

I'll buy a share.Had one before but BG bought it back off me. If you forget the £10 arrangement fee I made a nice healthy £4.12 profit – not quite enough for a pie and pint in the Sir Trev Lower.

I see reported they've released Franco. Official site says how he shined last night, Mail says he was released the following morning. Nice on Daves. He was not expensive, played smart and hard and loves the club, but we let him go and are chasing Henry, makes all kinds of sense!!
I know he isn't good enough for the whole game but for 45 he is great and I thought getting better, he played really well last night, Sorry Guille I for one will miss you

    • MattRyan says:

As the Mail is the only paper reporting this (as far as I can see) I'm going to take it with a pinch of salt until I hear from a more repliable paper! The Mail are scumbags at best!

I hope he stays! I like him!

      • HammersWest says:

You are right about the Mail, and now you mention it I can't see it anywhere else. I really hope he stays, I work with a lot of Mexicans who all follow West Ham at the moment because Guille is there, they think the world of him.

I hope its not true, I think having the guy at the club is a great thing. He is a great professional and gives his all in every game.
With the young talent we have at the club they could learn a lot from him.
If he does go then he will always be fondly remembered.

    • VanHammer says:

Hope this isn't true. There are few in the squad with his passion.

    This is for LeeHammer.
Firstly you dont need Mr Wallstreet for this in fact Mr Fisher Price Calculator could do the sums for you.
Gollivan bought 50% of the club for £50M(a figure you like to throw about so much), valuing the club at £100M.
Today they bought 10% of the club for £8M, valuing the club at £80M thereby reducing the value of the club by £20M. How is reducing the value of the club good for WestHam? If as they claim our debts are £110M reducing the value of the club to £30M below our debt level (if you believe the daves, which I dont) surely can not make our creditors too happy.
Would your mortgage company be happy if you decided to demolish 20% of your home and leave the mortgage untouched.
As for the £4M to CB and £4M to WestHam, it simply doesnt bear scrutiny, just like the accounts they published.
More likely £4M went to CB and £4M to Straumurs creditors who see WestHam as the banks highest profile asset. In fact in a recent creditors meeting Straumur alluded to using fund from the sale of the club to meet debt repayments.
What isnt clear is if the creditors in question were also creditors of the club.
Even if they were and the money went off the clubs debts reducing the overall debt by less than 4% when you have reduced the value of the club by 20% makes things worse not better, unless of course you need to use the whole debt thing as an excuse to convince gullible fans of your need to sell the best players and replace them with cheap or free average players.
Although none of this compares to the plan to sell the clubs biggest asset for a song so you can rent some white elephant with a running track!
Still am sure Mr Daily Sport can answer that!

Celtic,LeeHammer has and always will be an absolute rude and clueless about The Hammers and he is always upsetting the Hammers fans on this site ,but as I found out yesterday the poor little Gas-fitter does not like it when you take him to task he then resorts to foul and expletive language, because,
LEEEEEEEEZ only a poor little Gas-fitter!and he has no education but earns LOADSAMONEY!can you imagine!

Celtic, I understand your logic, your maths and your gripes about the new owners… and when reading them, I do tend to agree with most things you say… but…

… West Ham has always been just about the one thing in my life that I countenance as a removal from hardships in the real world… and in that I include the constant beatings about global recessions and meltdowns the last 2-3 years…and various other things over the last 30 years that have gone woefully wrong in life…

I'm as passionate as anyone about the club I've supported since I was 4 years of age (not an easy thing to admit to in Ireland at times)… and hate when we don't play well or the club isn't going in the right direction…

So… in the interests of tyring to maintain a positive outlook.. and/or remaining on the bright side when all around the world is collapsing around us…. try sometimes to change it up and be positive about it all…
