    Ilan nearly again. Keep going

  2. andyhammer says:

    Ilan should have scored that.
Also another good chance for Upson who fluffed it.

He should not be our captain

  3. safhammer says:

Off the post Mido nearly in

  4. safhammer says:

Why to foul in front of penalty area Scotty

  5. safhammer says:

    Swipe by Spetor…wide

  6. andyhammer says:

This last 20 minutes just highlights even more how much better we are than them if we put the effort in. If we showed this commitment for the whole 90 minutes and not the last 30 we would have been out of sight.

This is a real indictment of the players.

    • That has happened time and time again this season. We have no consistency. At times we are excellent but more often we have no passion. We are so frustrating as we have the ability to be mid-table. What we don't have is the desire.

  7. safhammer says:

    Hopefully a lesson learned

  8. andyhammer says:

These players don't deserve the fans. That was an absolute disgrace of a performance

  9. safhammer says:

Its all over. We lose by being lazy in the first half and most of the second. Bad show by the boys. Can you believe it.

  10. hemel_hammer says:

zola out and take noble and upson with u

  11. safhammer says:

Not Zola's fault. Keep Zola. Get rid of Upson.

    • HammersWest says:

i agree about Zola, team selection looked good on paper and substitutions right on the money, we got the attacking team we've been asking for.
Who would You have chosen different?
The players however didn't wake up in the first half, whatever they had for breakfast, change it. Plus wa McCarthy looked god, hope his isn't badly injured, and Stan made a big difference

      • safhammer says:

I know he is not a central defender but Daperela should be in and let Tommo take over the middle. Ilunga out left. I think we need to be brave. I liked Mido, Mcarthy and Ilans positioning was not bad either. All in all, sort our defence out and we are there.

  12. Goatygav says:

Only saw the last 20 but, by the sounds of things, that was a massive disappointment.

I have to admit that I expected more than 2 points in the games against Pompey, Blackburn and Burnley.

Didn't see the Ilan goal due to my link going down – any good?

  13. safhammer says:

Also, was Noble playing??!! That bad.

  14. johnnycash says:

Maybe that is our story of the season, unlucky yes but ultimately not good enough.
After the last two results, defeat today was the last thing needed. Question marks will be surrounding Zola now.

  15. MattRyan says:

We need to get keep the dead wood away from the club NOW! And that includes Kovac, Noble and unfortunately Zola and Clarke!

I like Zola, I like his style of play but unfortunately his style of play will be unplayable when we have no name players in the Championship!

I said earlier that it wasn't Zola's fault! But I take that back and for anyone who says similar, of course it is Zola's fault! He's the manager, the buck stops at him! It's his job to ensure the team gels and to ensure we get results! He's failing!

  16. Braderz says:

Well i tell you what, why on earth did we not play like that the whole game, we awere all over them, i have never seen so much bad luck in all my life, McCarthy shot cleared off the line, McCarthy then forced off injured, 2 goals from absolutely nothing, Stanislav hits the bar, we have a goal disallowed, We then score out of nothing with which i think was Ilans first touch, Mido then hits the post and nearly rebounded to Ilan then at the very deat Ilan nearly scored but Jensen did well, unbelievable, I will say this right now, all those who thaught Mido was a bad signing, he was phenonimal, work rate was outstanding and he was a powerhouse, so deserved to score when he hit the post, Ilan also, didn't do much but what he did do was very effective and to score with your first touch shows he is a predator, Hopefully Benni will be back soon and his injury isn't to bad as he looked dangerous, if not then Ilan and Mido must start alongside cole, i don't like 4-3-3 but we must now use it, because once we did, Burnley were petrified.

  17. safhammer says:

Not Zolas fault. The players did not match Burnleys commitment. I think we will really learn from this and make a heck of run following this. We seem to do well against teams we should lose to. So happy times ahead. In Zola we trust.

    • MattRyan says:

Of course it's Zola's fault! He is the Boss! It;s his reponsibility to ensure crap like this doesn't happen!

      • Braderz says:

Have to agree with you m8, we should play 4-3-3 from now on because on the attack we are very dangerous.

      • safhammer says:

Well he can only put out what he has got. And if they dont perform, he cant come on himself. Formation was good. Give Zola a chance

        • MattRyan says:

But he has a brilliant team – on paper! I know what you are saying and in principle I agree! But in football terms, it is his responsibility to ensure we perform! And if he can't do that, S&G will find someone who can :)

In fairness, I think we have given him all the chances we can afford! too many more failed chances and we WILL be relagated.

          • safhammer says:

I seriously hope you are thinking that Mark Hughes can motivate players. I think all that happened was that the players felt that the team was so good on paper that they all waited for each other to pull the train. In the event we got stuck. This is, I truly believe a great blessing in diguise for us. I am sure that the next week we will all be singing a different tune. I hope!!

    • safhammer says:

But how can you motivate players if they turn up like they did today. We cant sell them all to Aston Villla ala Reo

  18. Only saw second half on poor stream. The difference between a good and poor team, the ball finds the back of the net. You make your own luck. this sucks

  19. Braderz says:

Team to face Birmingham for me, hope Benni is back but by that injury i doubt it:

    Green

    Faubert Upson Tomkins Ilunga

    Collison Parker Stanislav

    Mido Ilan

    Cole

  20. MattRyan says:

I can just see it now, Zola: "I'm so proud of the team and their commitment and I am so happy with our fighting spirit".

Then in 3 seasons time – Zola: "I'm so proud of our fighting spirit against WELLING UNITED"!!!!

It might JUST not be too late if the Daves sort something out quickly!

  21. Braderz says:

Legue table shows that we are third bottom but i am being serious if we play liek we did the last 20 mins today for the full 90 mins we will be so tough to play, we still have best goal difference down there but are rediculously unlucky.

  22. StainesWestHam says:

4 wins from 24 games this season – Z & C have to go im afraid.

  23. CliffHammer says:

Booooooooooooooo! That was massively disappointing but it's primarily because my expectations are too high. In reality, I believe we are where we belong. Over the years, we've proved that we're not really good enough for the prem but too good for the fizzy pop. Even though we won the World Cup, we never really had the quality or consistency to do much in the league. I wish I was wrong but the song says it all. Fortune's always hiding… Just like my dreams, they fade and die. Chin up, eh?

    • MattRyan says:

      Expectations too high?

COme on, I don'k think it's unreasonable to expect at least a point from Burnley! Or to expect a win against a dire Blackburn!

Not really good enough for the Prem???? Are you a Spuds fan or something? Of course we're good enough for the Prem!

Blimey mate! With fans like you, I guess we don't need enemies!

      • MattRyan says:

        What absolute BOLLOCKS!

I was joking about the Spuds fan! If you were a regular, you would know that!

Relegation, is all about luck and playing well.

West Ham have are a Premiership club and anyone that doubts that shouldn't call themselves a fan! We have a stronger tradition than most of the clubs in the EPL and we have a better team than probably 10-12 teams in the EPL.

We might not be good enough for Europa or CL yet but we most certainly ARE good enough for the EPL!

    • MattRyan says:

How is West Ham a yo-yo club?

We have been relegated FOUR times in 115 years!

      That's a crap Yo-Yo!

  24. Eric nyc says:

It’s the same old story every week. It’s getting tough to stay positive. I was sure of a result today. I’m bracing myself for the worst to spare myself the frustration. Coyi….

  25. Eric nyc says:

Who thinks that gollivan has at least contacted Hughes?
I am being fickle I know. I’m just so annoyed. Meh.

  26. Sactown Hammer says:

Im sorry every time I saw hughes on the sideline he looked constipated. How do you expect him to do anything with this lot, when he had an all star team up in city

  27. leehammer says:

ZOLA OUT ! NEVER LIKED HIM ! FOOTBALL THE WESTB HAM WAY dont give me that . joje he's ROEDER in disguise . not even gunna watch the interview where i see zola telling us he's proud of his players . LETS HOPE gold and sullivan get mark hughes before he goes some where else .the players wernt up for it today i know but zola shaking his head when he sends a plyer on he should be clapping and shouting his plaers on not crossing his arms AND SHAKING HIS HEAD HE'S A JOKE !. I HATE THIS WEST HAM TEAM WITH HIM IN CHARGE ! stability is now in gold, sullivan and mark hughes. dont give me he likes to play good football because at the moment this great club is worse than STOKE, HULL AND BURNLEY . i carnt beleive iam sayin gthat STOKE ! HILL! BURNLEY ! BETTER THAN US .

  28. leehammer says:

zola out ! good football lol my a**e . i didnt ever think we would be as bad if not worse than hull, burnley and stoke city lol. i pray to god we sack him monday he lost me as a fan when he sent ilan on and shoke his head no motivation in himself so no motivation in the players and i also want the whole medical team gone as stuar6t robbins said on the radio the other day somtimes players injuries are not there fault it can be the clubs fault either pushing them to hard or not treating it properly HOW DID BENNI MCCARTHY STAY FIT AT BLACKBURN ALL THE TIME COME S TO WEST HAM AND GETS INJURED IN HIS FIRST FULL 90 WHAT A JOKE ..

  29. leehammer says:

    sack zola monday ! please

  30. Braderz says:

Zola to go now, we need someone who knows what they are doing and Zola simply doesn't, playing a right footed player at left back and we could have played Ilunga or Daprela there, i think that says it all, we need a whole new management team to come in, we are in a new era with G&S, and we need to get into a n ew era with our management team because it simply isn't good enough anymore. We are not winning enough games and are strugling to put the ball in the back of the net, we need something to happen and that thing for me is to get rid of Zola.
