Celtic, the delay is apparently doen to work permit issues as he hasn't played the required number of internationals over the past year or two. If this is true it could mean that we initially get him on loan until these problems are sorted out.
The other reason could be that Blackburn don't want to complete until after Saturday's game so he can't play against them.

I’m more impressed by the fact that we haven’t sold anyone as opposed to buying some out of shape, wrong side of 30 has been – which just about includes every player we’ve been “linked” with in the last week.
I have no wish to see any of the following in a West Ham shirt ever (even the ones under 30)

Benjani
Bentley
Hutton
Piquionne
Beattie
Prince Boateng
Shorey
Wheater

I’d love to see Etherington back, but that’s not happening.
I’d like to see Luke Young. I’d like to see the keeper from Pompey, but that’s not happening.
And can we please replace Jiminez with Di Gennaro from AC Milan?

Duxbury hasn’t got everything right by a long way, but refusing to do business with the Spuds was the right call. Let’s watch and laugh as EG warms their bench and ‘Arry bankrupts them before spending some time in one of HM’s open hotels.
If we get Bennie McC in soon, I’d be happy with that on the striker front. With CC back and Franco back in a few weeks I reckon that will be enough, with Nouble as back-up. If there is a genuine quality striker available on loan then fine but why bring in aged no-bodies that add nothing different with no guarantee of goals?
Although we aren’t playing great, we are certainly better than some of the rubbish in the Premiership and I’m confident we’ll stay up. More urgent is the need for a right back and I’d love to see a flair player like Jack Wilshire come in on loan and come off the bench to create something when we need a goal.

Can we get rid of Nani and bring Venables in I am sure he would be more help to zola and would find players worth having. Just a thought ?
If McCarthey has passed a medical the deal will be done on saturday/ sunday so he can't play against his old club. I still have doubts over his fittness anyway and outof what is being talked about Keane must be a better option, I'd like to see a wide leftsided player come in though, Oh well same ol same ol we will just have to wait and see, I just Hope the double D's don't let us down and turn out to be a pair of Tits.
