New Bid for West Ham?

Sky Sports report that the Intermarket Group is to table a £100 million bid for the club on Monday. I will believe it when I see it.

Sky Sports News understands an American consortium are to make a £100 million bid for West Ham United next week.

London-based Inter Market have revealed they intend to lodge a bid for the Premier League strugglers next Monday and plan to provide funds for Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola in January.

New York-born Jim Bowe is the chief executive of the company but several of the investors are believed to be West Ham supporters and are desperate to help the East Londoners out of the relegation battle which they have become embroiled in this season.

Inter Market are said to be keen to seal a deal for the Upton Park outfit as soon as possible so they can give Zola enough time to buy new players during the January transfer window.

It is believed CB Holdings, the company in control of West Ham, are looking favourably at the deal but are in no rush to sell after they rejected a previous bid by former Birmingham City co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan earlier in December.

    Please be true….

It would be very very good to get rid of CB Holdings, not least to see Cetichammer stop bleating on how good they have been. Yeah right!

    • celtichammer says:

feel free to name any site WestHam or otherwise that "will not let me near them"

      • tonyjones says:

dont rise to the bait…they are not worth it. The fact your entries are minused makes people read them, especially casual visitors….extremes attract attention. They dont have the intelligence to realise that. The sooner we get rid of the plus/minus stuff the better, i plus you (and others) yet you stll are always minus 2 or 3.
Just shows what a great guy you are..and it proves they all read your posts…LOL

Felcher – personal abuse is not allowed on this site – be constructive or don't bother. Lots of people on this site have differing opinions, some of which are utter tosh at the best of times (myself included probably) but that is the joy of this site.

    • Soldier_Tom says:

Jonny and Felcher, you talk some sense … but slating Celtic is sad … he is entitled to his views as much as you me and anyone else …. as for your sad little outburst … well … says it all about the kind of fan you are … Spurs are down the road mate …

Like him or loathe him his analysis is valued by many … and in my own opinion never far from the truth … I am no fan of CB Holdings or the current board … I have asked openly for other to come with a better plan … but if you go back to the Duxbury interviews in the close season and analyse them … you'll see that we have to survive this season to create funds for next … all is not rosie … and only January will tell ..
      Happy new year lads ..

Anyone but Sullivan & Gold would be good. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Feel free to keep giving me the thumbs down, whoever you are, you're pathetic.

    • celtichammer says:

Devo it seems you have awoken the silent majority! Have a thumbs up from me mate! No doubt it will wind our little friend up!

    • celtichammer says:

Haha I see he is up to his old tricks Devo, I only hope you can survive the terrible trauma of having some moron click the thumbs down icon!

      • DevoDevo says:

Well, at least he has shown us his new nom de plume. xD

        • tonyjones says:

celtic gets it all the time and usually from four people…so hes usually minus 2. I then plus him…others do aswell…but if you support him you then get it, aswell. Also we now have the two camps of pro or non pro zola. We all support WHU and want the side to do well, but some people clearly feel that not to support gz is anti the club. You and i have had a go at him…chrischris aswell…so we get the treatment. Dont worry about it….they dont like it if you argue we facts, when they can only reply with emotional support etc.
I dont usually bother mentioning him anymore, cos it makes no diff this is just a chat site about whu anyway and if he stays or goes will not be influenced by whats on here.

Whoever it is on the thumbs down button seems to be having a field day today! Little things etc etc! At least it has ensured that a lot of posters will do their best to reverse any trends by voting the opposite way. Can't help thinking the site would be better without that feature though!

This would be great news but i won't believe it until i hear further information about it and some concrete news, really hope this is true but will try not to get ahead of myself.

  4. Im sitting here "working from home" trying to look busy and I think the newspapers have taken the same approach and reprining the same stories to look busy.__Cole, Parker, Green, Upson and the rest of the team all to be sold in our "fire sale" next month. I think a few people are still on the Christmas Brandy as I've seen Mutu is the lastest target.__Who ever buys West Ham lets hope we never play like we did yesterday again and the bench has at least 1 player worth bringing on.____Happy New Year. ____

  5. TL says:

What I would give for this to be true. I really want Intermarket or Tony Fernandes to take charge. Gold and Sullivan would be a disaster for us. Agree that I never want to see a team, bench or performance that I saw yesterday ever again.

  6. Roshi says:

When the deal is signed I will get excited, I agree with DevoDevo just so long as it does not involve Sullivan and Gold…….or are they part of the consortium?

  7. tlovegrove says:

Please may this be true. Definately don't want Gold and Sullivan involved as they would be a disaster for our club. Intermarket would be great, especially if Tony Fernandes is involved. Yesterday showed how much investment is needed in our squad/ team if we are to become an established team. I never want to see a performance like yesterday's again!

  8. _E1 says:

Just a thought could gold & sullivan have anything to do with this ?
I hope it is true and they are not involved the first thing the new owners should do is get rid of nanni, Sven would be a good replacement don't you think?
The next thing should be given a good size transfere kitty and BUY not loan wiltshire from Arsenal. Then Find a top rate LB and RB along with one striker to get us through to the summer.

18 games to go my prediction is 49pts 12th or 13th and Cole Upson and Parker all have a good world cup and Green does'nt make it.

  9. _E1 says:

If sullivan & gold are not involved it might be a srewed move by the new owners to offer them a % in return for some of their £50m to boost the transfere kitty, say 25% for £25m.

  10. Brentwood says:

I dont believe it. Why launch a bid on Monday ? Jan 4th, even if it was accepted, dont they have to do all the legal bit before control is handed over? How long does that take ? Im sure Celtic can advise on that, that will leave (im guessing) a week or so to get players in, other teams know we will be desperate, that will inflate the prices. Do i sound like the prophet of doom ?? On the plus side, i think we will only loose Upson, no bad thing, Parker to replace him as captain.. love to see him make the world cup squad.

  11. scalyback says:

I want to see new owners, and not G&S. However, whoever they are, if it is Corporate money, they will be out to make money on the deal, not throw hundreds of millions in the vague hope we will do well. Even a Corporate bid by a fan will be unlikely to be any different (witness Newcastle, Blackburn etc). The best option would be to have a multimillionaire Hammers fan buy with his own spare cash, but frankly if there is anyone with sufficient spare wonga out there, who is a devout fan, I'd be very surprised.
To me , assuming a Corporate bid is our only option, then the IMG Consortium is the best (only?) one, but I can't see it turning us into the East End Financial equivalent of Chelski. It would hopefully stop the press crusade against us, and give GZ a good chance to secure our PL status.

  12. Braderz says:

I hope that G&S are not involved as i think they are trying to be very cheaky and sligh about their bussiness, their first offer was rediculous £46 million when our owner clearly stated he wanted £80 million, wheras on the other hand intermaket have reached our owners valuation and have given zola the backing, very tough choice this….not. Our owners will take their time but i don't think they will get a better offer so i think they should take it if it is true. Hope we hear more news soon.

  13. is it just me or is zola getting this all wrong? he says that west ham played well yesterday!!! he says that west ham suporters are happy the way we played? i for one am not happy that our manager can see that were happy to loose any game 2-0 let alone the spuds away !!!!! he is setting us up for defeats against the teams higher up the league and making terrible excuses for it .451 is never going to work with the players we have at the moment.cole can bring players in to play but franco cant ! im getting fed up with so called good performances !!!! there not in my book and i for one will look 4wad to the day when we are owned and managed but people that realy do understand west ham utd

    • Soldier_Tom says:

Considering how badly the board have stripped our squad Jon I thought we played ok against a side that are loaded with options and full of confidence …

Once we lost Parker it was a matter of survival and we did ok … we spent time chasing shadows but with no money and no one to replace Ashton, Cole, Parker and Noble we are always going to be where we are …

my thoughts stick to the plan that relegation will suit Straumar massively … even the press agree … then you sell off the prize jewels ..Cole, Upson, Parker, Green, Berahmi and co for £40 million plus and take the parachute payments …. sell the club for £50 million and leave us like Charlton, Leicester and Leeds …. but they will have there money and won't and don't give a s**t

Happy New Year tho mate …

  14. ps good to see the hornchurch hammers behind the wicket in south africa !!! nice crossed hammers in every shot for the tv !!!

  15. Braderz says:

Intermaket group has offered £100 million for the club apparently with a bit more reliable source behind this one (SSN), back in november they stated they would offer and want to conclude late december, they also said back in november that they would provide up to £40 million for Zola to buy players with. I really hope this does pull off. Brentwood, do you remember when man city were taken over, it was very late in the transfer window and on deadline day they signed robinho so anything can happen very quickly so keep the faith m8. IF and it is a bif if we get taken over i believe we should look at some targets who can help us out, a lb, cb and a striker and maybe a loan deal. Any ideas guys???????????

    • Soldier_Tom says:

Braderz, I like the thought of Cambell comming in … and letting Upson go if thats what 'HE' wants … Shorey in at LB maybe …. I like and agree with your thoughts … however I am more concerned as to why everyone is against having the Sulivans on board …

We are doomed to relegation if the present board stays …. they won't invest and there is no money from the TV, the Collins deal and no insurance money from Deano ? … so under those circumstance we are in a real mire …

      • Braderz says:

I like the idea of shorey but would want ferraira or someone over campbell as im not sure if he is trust worthy to have on the pitch, look at what happened at notts county, but im not sure, he is a very good player but could be a dodgey move. Wiltshere would be a great buy or loan from arsenal as he siad he would love to join us. Then get baloteli or someone upfront who has a similar stature to cole then maybe another striker who can play off cole.

G&S are disliked as we believe they would be similat to terrance brown and none of us want that all over again, they will just get us stable and offer very little to GZ to spend on players, this is why people don't want them in but i am reasonbly happy either way but would much much rather intermarket than G&S if i am honest.

      • celtichammer says:

Tom seeing as the owners recently invested £5M into the club any chance you could explain your certainty that they wont make money available in January to buy players?

        • Soldier_Tom says:

Braderz thanks for that … I see where you are comming from now … and yes the Cambell thing is something to take into consideration taking on board the potential wages he is likely to command

Celtic … there was a recent press statement from the chairman saying that any funds would have to be generated through players sales … these would be put straight back into the club …

As for the £5 million I am not aware of that, however it still goes back to where did the Collins money go ? … where is the TV money and the Deano insurance money … it was only a question I put to you through a matter of respecting your thoughts and analysis …

It maybe the club are being prudent in keeping everything close to their chests … however GFZ body language speaks a different story … and rumours linking us to players are all old hat ..

          • Braderz says:

            No problems Tom.

          • celtichammer says:

Tom that statement you are referring to was made in the summer, at the time Straumur were barred from investing money into any business, including WestHam, by the Icelandic courts as they were in the middle of a rationalisation plan and under a moratorium.
This has been lifted only recently and once it was they put £5M in to reduce our loans to amongst the lowest in the Premiership.
As for the TV money, its something everyone gets caught up in but like most clubs it goes to the running of the club and meeting the clubs overheads. We have massively reduced our costs and overheads in the last 12months but remember that between Deano, Dyer and LBM and Davenport we have paid out the better part of £10M to players who have hardly kicked a ball all year (LBM apart for last season but he still wont play for the club again in all likelyhood so we have 6more months to pay him to sit on his arse).
That £10M is forgotten about as the fans dont see anything for it and takes a fair bite out of any TV money we recieve.

          • tonyjones says:

the club was running up losses of over 30 mill in last two lots of published accounts. This was ok if our previous owners hadn't lost his fortune…but he did. We basically paid over the top transfers fees and wages for players…most turned out to be disasters. CBH have forced the club to cut right back…app the wage bill has now been cut dramatically. Until we see the 'late' latest et of accounts nobody knows our current situation, for sure.
We have hardly spent on new players…while others have…so we have fallen behind our rivals or they have caught up. All reports indicate that our financial position has improved and we hould be able to strengthen in the summer.

          • tonyjones says:

The collins money was used to payback isobet…who loaned the money to us for diamanti. It was for a striker but none was signed..so we repaid the loan instead.
We should get 7mill for ashton insurance…is it available to spend?? My guess is yes on that.
Premier league give 7 mill to the clubs in January…if this is not already included in our budget and taking into account our position in the league….hope…this is available….but who knows ??
Think we will just have to see what happens in window and keep fingers crossed.

      • tonyjones says:

they dont like sullivan cos he made his money from PORN etc……simple as that.
        Personally i love porn…LOL

      • tonyjones says:

Also they bought Birmingham for a quid !!!! Then sold it for a big profit….this raises concerns as to the motives of our famous fans. They are rich, no doubt. But they enjoyed themelves at birmingham and rewarded themselves well….while making minimal investment themselves and doing everything on the cheap. The fans paid for everything…costs were constantly rising to bring in money and they were not popular chaps up there.
        Hope this helps.

        • Soldier_Tom says:

Tony, many thanks …. its been getting rather emotional on here recently and you can get a rather clouded view of what the reality is … I am still of the opinion that relegation won't hurt CB Holdings or Straumar due to the assets they can sell off … not there prefered option I agree

I was at the Brummie game with friends and they were torn on the Gollivan ownership hence me asking but as much as I like porn (its a squaddie thing) going back to the Brown days is not the answer … on the Brummie fans … I love em and they are as good as the lads up at Anfield and Newcastle imo as they look after my lad and I feel safe amongst them … the Brummie boys grabbed us after the game and made sure we got back to New street safely ..

          Happy New Year mate

  16. Basildon_Bob says:

This was the same (Intermarket) bid they were supposed to make October/November. I seem to remeber that he club had entered into a period of non disclosure. If thats the case, then whose disclosed this? Slow news day as far as I am concerned.

  17. celtichammer says:

Brentwood they have already carried out a due dilligence process when they entered into a 28day lock down period. Once that expired they would essentially have to either make a bid or walk away.
Given the hit and miss business hours over the holiday period it would be necessary to wait until everyone was back at their desks so to speak. If they are to make a bid then they came across nothing in the dicovery process that put them off buyign the club or that contradicted the price CB/Straumur have placed on the club.
This is the key point from all of this, if the red tops or Gollivan (or their pet site KUMB) are to be believed so disastrous is the clubs position that any bid for the club could only be made by someone who's sole motivation was to save the club from certain doom. If a group with the business experience of Intermarket is willing to make a bid of £100M then the club is in decent shape off the pitch and makes an attractive investment proposition.
I would caution against getting too carried away until such time as the club or Intermarket makes an offical statement.

    • Braderz says:

Celtic, you really seem to know your stuff and that does make alot of sense as they spoke about the offer late november so that the 28 dead lock period is now over and it seems they are willing to offer and not walk away, if this is correct then this is great news as it will be extremely difficult for our owners to turn the offer down as it reaches their valuation, thanks celtic for clearing it up a bit more, how do you know this stuff? lol. Like you say though i won't get carried away until we have some concrete information from either our owners or intermarket group. Getting bit exciting but we will have to wait and see. Thanks celtic for that.

      • celtichammer says:

Braderz its hard not to get carried away. If a deal was to be done then it could be wrapped up in a matter of days. If the price and structure of the deal was agreed by both parties then it would be possible for Intermarket to assume the day to day running of the club while contracts are being exchanged and papers are being filed.
As for how I know, I work as an analyst so I have always tried to give an opinion of whats going on with the club that is based on facts to counter act the lies printed in the red tops.

        • Braderz says:

Thanks Celtic, your a top lad who really knows what he is talking about, i take it that when they spoke about the proof of funds that must be true as they had to show rothchilds the proof of the money, i heard that their were 4 offers on the table, we now know 3 offers, tony fernades, G&S and Intermarket group, i for one always wanted intermarket group in charge as they appear to be the best financialy and have what it takes to get us stable, keep us informed and also buy players when we need to, of course not players to the extent man city can buy but still very good players. So if they take control of the club next week will they be able to give zola the funds straight away or have to wait for all the paper work to be done, that is what i would like to know, things could get very interesting, i always try and think, no news is good news so il just keep looking. If you have any more info on the intermarket group celtic id like to know so i can understand the whole thing a bit better. Thanks Celtic.

          • celtichammer says:

There are complications that arise should Intermarket buy players for WestHam without having actual ownership, they would essentially be paying for assets for a company that they dont fully legally own.
My guess is that they would agree a transfer budget with the clubs current owners who would then go to the banks and request that they be given a working capital (or overdraft) facility to fund the purchase of new players based on the fact that Intermarket would pay off that facility when they took complete control. A simple letter ot intent or heads of agreement would be enough to get this approved. This may also have something to do with Straumur / CB renegotiating the clubs loans recently and paying £5M off the loans, which as far as I know had to be classed as a gift to the club.
There was no reason as such for them to renegotiate the loans as they were in good order, one reason I suggested was they may have simply wished to avail of lower interest rates that are around now compared to when those loans began.
If however they knew an agreeable take over was on the cards they would have known that the £5M that they paid out would come back to them in short order. This could mean that the newly renegotiated loans could allow for a working capital facility to be made available to fund transfers while the transfer is going through. Obviously any new owners will want to sanction new signings to keep the club clear of relegation and protect the value of their new asset so the current owners would have to make sure that was possible, hence the new loan agreements.
All of this is speculation but it does make some sense.

          • Braderz says:

Cheers Celtic mate, it does seem to make sense but like you say it is all soecualtion so once we hear some concrete news then we can discuss it further, thanks for the info though. :)

  18. _E1 says:

Celtic do you have any ideas on how much if any Zola could be given to spend.
Whatever it is I just hope Nanni does'nt get his hands on it. There are plenty of quality british players around that would improve the squad don't you think.

    • celtichammer says:

E1 to be honest mate anything on my part would simply be speculation and entirely dependant on who is in control of the club during the window. I previously reckoned that Zola would be given somewhere between £10M and £15M in total to spend based on the sale of Upson and the money from Deano's payout from the current owners.
However if Intermarket take over I would see them wanting to make at least one prestige signing in order to quickly win the fans over and dismiss the negative press that has surrounded the club in recent times.
One thing that is clear is that Gollivan has stated that the manager would get £8M to spend in January which I would say is the lowest possible transfer budget of any party.

      • celtichammer says:

Not sure yet, I have a little bingo machine and the numbers on the balls are replaced by the players names, so I turn it on, wait for one of the balls to pop up and then I slate that player for the week. Lets hope its not Scott Parker, its going to be tough to sell that one!

Should nani stay or go ?

    • tlovegrove says:

Nani should definately go. Look at his signings: Savio, Tristan, Di Michele, Lopez, Behrami, Kovac, Kurucz, Daprela, Diamanti, Franco, Lastuvka, Da Costa- Quite a bit of money has been spent there on a lot of players and apart from Behrami and Ilunga none of them are good enough. I personally think its the manager's job to buy players, and therefore Zola should be responsible for who comes in and who goes out.

      • celtichammer says:

Never understood my Lopez didnt play more as he was class for the reserves but writing off Diamanti and DaCosta is incredibly short sighted, both have masses of potential and have already shown they can make a big impact on the club, especially Diamanti. Daprela is an 18year old kid who has done very well for the reserves, as have the majority of Nanis young signings, like Modelski, Grasser, Sanchez (youths), Holmar and others.
The fact of the matter is that most signings dont set the world alight, look at Benitez at liverpool, he signed 46players (excluding loans and free transfers) and how many of them have worked for the club. Unless you have 20 or 30M to spend on a player with proven guaranteed ability you are always taking a punt.

    • Braderz says:

_E1 i think it is a tough one to be honest as i think it would be harsh to get rid of someone who has on;ly tries to help. I think it has been tough for him as he can't just take the price of a player in, he must also think about his wage. Zola and nani saw savio as an opportunity which unfortunately didn't work out for him or for us, it was intended with the club best intention but he was too young and not good enough for the prem but zola felt he had strong pottential. Because it didn't work nani now has a really tough time from us hammers so i think he shouldn't go and should be given a chance to bring in some quality. I think Jimenez has got the quality, he is just yet to show it, he seems a bit lost, diamanti for me is class, looks solid and works hard. I think if we have new owners in it will ease the pressure on nani as he will be aloud to go for higher class players. Hope that helps.

  25. Saulie says:

I really don't want to loan the young Arsenal lad. Sure he might be good and have potential, but we need someone experienced who can come in and get the job done now. Why are we a stepping stone to Arsenal, like a reserve team there lad can play for, get experience, become a half decent player and then go back to them. If we take him on, we need to buy him, none of this loan crap.

  26. Jolly says:

    We've been here before and seen nothing happen so i'm not going to get carried away just yet. But there are plenty of positives to be had from this story;

    1. It lets the big players know that funds may be coming soon and with that reinforcements to the squad – hopefuly it may just placate them.
    2. It tells Gollivan that other interested parties are on the scene so stop slagging off and talking down our great club – either put up or shut up!
    3. It takes the conversation away from the team form and the result/performance against Spuds.
    4. It might (we can dream) just show the red top rags that the club is not as deaply imbedded in the mire as some would have us believe. If Intermarket have done their due dilligence and have found the club to be worth the asking price then the debts MUST have been greatly exaggerated.

Brighter days may just be ahead of us…..keep the faith.

  29. FishySuffolk says:

With the TW only 3days away our thoughts are to who may be coming to UP
and Mutu may be on the cards. We will have to wait to see who actually is in the frame. With the news that we may have an actual bid on the table come Monday is good news for all. As Celtic says due to the Christmas break it is probably better for all concerned to wait until everyone is back and on a level playing field.
I agree with all he has to say and will continue to do so as he makes a lot of sense.

  30. HAMMER21TIME says:

Simple Question here – Why are so many against Gianluca Nani?
He has had probably the most limited budget to work with out of all the premierleague managers or technical directors.

    INS: –

Herita Ilunga – £2.5M – Became one of the best Left-Backs in the premierleague, when many of us never knew his name he turned out to be a signing of the season.

Valon Behrami – £5M – A player of Champions League quality and would be a starter for the best teams in the world.

Alessandro Diamanti – £6M, will prove a signing of the season, showing glimpses already of his ability, touted a Paolo Di Canio and Carlos Tevez, Nani's contacts have came to fruition.

Agree that Ilunga and Behrami have been good, but definately not that good. Behrami works hard but is certainly not CL quality, and would not start for Barcelona! I am not convinced by Diamanti. All he does is take penalties and set pieces. I don't like his attitude and he will never be a Premier League quality player.

look harry would buy ten and only talk about the two successful one's. People forget about the boogers, lads from liverpool reserves, the shopping romanian etc…we just remember di canio. Nani will be hit and miss…its the nature of the job…if you get 50% success your prob doing ok…epecially on a limited budget. Also some of the signing's will be investments…i think da costa can prove good for example. Its also not easy playing well in a struggling side and under presure. Simply in a couple of years, we maybe saying he did well…if you buy foreign players they need time to settle and adjust to faster uk football.
I would prefer zola to buy who he wants, so its his team…..not sure if its ideal at the moment. Whatever they cannot mess up in january (whoever we buy) cos they need to get thi window right.

Radoslav Kovac – £2M – Starting to prove his worth to the team when we play very disciplined, against the big four teams he can make a difference as he did against Chelsea. Time will prove he is an important team and squad player for us.

Jan Lastuvka, Luis Jimenez, David Di Michele, Diego Tristan – All done the job for the club, when you have limited funds loan signings have been needed, and these players have all added competition to the first team squad.

Frank Nouble – A player with fantastic potential, it's no reason why Chelsea and Arsenal both offered long-term contracts to him. Will prove a snip for the future.

Fabio Daprela – A star player for Swiss Under 19's and 21's , needs time under the guidance of Zola and Clarke will be a big prospect for us.

Savio Nsereko – Never had the time to fruition at the club, i do agree that our money should not have bin spent on a world class talent but instead a experianced player, but to judge him on one signing is wrong,

Kovac is a really poor player. He can't pass the ball and I'd rather have Mullins than him, and that is saying something. Nouble's signing was mainly down to the Chelsea influence of Zola and Clarke and not Nani. Savio Nsereko at £9m was completely ridiculous. We're not Man Utd or Man City with bag loads of cash to spend, we have a tight budget and to squander all that money on an inexeperienced kid from Serie B (Like League1) was crazy. Nobody surely can defend the poor signings of Lastuvka, Jimenez, Tristan, Di Michele, Lopez. Nani must go, and preferably before this January window.

Nani is surplus to requirements at the club, if we are short of money maybe there is one wage we can save, he is nothing more than a scout for the italian league. We may well need some players with PL experience to get us out of this mess.
As for the intermarket group, Alan brazil on talk sport seems convinced that something is happening and he does not normally nail his colours to the mast unless he is pretty sure, I dont know if I am pleased or not as I dont know who they are and as analysts if they have any experience of running a business

I think you are all overly ambitious with this news. Let's remember its source…Sky sports news, and where do they get their news from exactly? It's nice 'n all defending the club against bad press but it seems somewhat hypocritical to simply accept the good press. Whilst I would like to see club switch hands ASAP, I just know it wont happen. We should all know that West Ham doesn't work like that, we take good news in small doses and bad news in mass doses. A stabbing, retirement, long term injury, constant injuries to key players, three 2-0 leads thrown away, what else am I missing?. Years and years of bad management will not simply go away, so I suggest you look away from the knights in shining armour as I believe they are blinding you!

Nani should be kept on I think. How can we slate a guy who has worked with what he has. He knew exactly what we were getting when we got him, an Italian with a wide knowledge of the ITALIAN game who has spent his whole life in ITALY.
