What a very sad day for Dean Ashton and all West Ham fans. The club website has just confirmed that Ashton has been forced to retire. It’s a bitter blow for such a hugely talented player. He really could have been one of West Ham’s greatest players and it is such a shame to see such a huge talent unfulfilled. I am sure we all wish him well with whatever he does in the future.
