Podcasting With Man U Fans

Last night I recorded a ten minute chat with the Manchester United supporting RedCafe Podcast, looking at the game against Manchester United on Saturday. Click HERE to listen to the Podcast. The bit with me starts at about 37 minutes in.

This has made me think whether we should start a weekly West Ham Till I Die Podcast. I don’t really have the wherewithall to organise it but if there is a teccy person out there who has the ability to record it with three people using Skype or similar, let me know.

    Who’s the three?

Live by satellite from sunny Queensland I could broadcast from the beach.

I like the idea of a weekly podcast, but no need to make it as long as these guys! 10-15 minutes would be ideal imo.

Just in case you didn't know, these guys do a podcast after most home games. They average one every couple of weeks. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=7950250447 Normally a good listen and they don't take themselves to seriously.

Saying that there is always room for another West Ham podcast.

I'd say a Podcast that matches the avg commute would be the way – 30 mins or so – but I've no idea how to even get a pod cast so don't listen to me.

I'd learn if WHTID did one though…

Good idea but broadcasting is a delicate art. Can't throw any old Tom, Dick or Harriet into the mix. CH and SJ would make a great double act…and the show would be over in less than 14 hours. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. MattRyan says:

Lol I don't think any of us would live long enough to get to the end!

Just clicked on your footyfiles link, Matt… is that a work in progress or has it been abandoned?

      • MattRyan says:

        It's a "Project" mate! ;) lol not really :)

It was originally created to link upto this site to take some of the load away from here on match days and to keep this blog clean etc…

But Iain seems to have decided on a different direction now so footyfiles.co.uk is just sitting there now gathering dust! Lol

But it's nearly ready to go if the need ever arises :)

Podcasts are pretty easy once you know what you are doing! I have done casts using Soundflower, Skype and any MP3 editor around! It can be tricky if you don't know what you are doing but like anything can be picked up pretty easy!

Although I would say if you are in no way technical minded, give it a miss :)

So are we really in advanced talks with Luca Toni?

    • Goatygav says:

He'd be a terrific addition to the squad.

Some of the sensible commenters, which is the vast majority to be fair, on this blog have suggested that his wage demands might not be in line with the current strategy of player acquisition.

  12. MattRyan says:

Well seeing as it's in the Guardian, probably not mate! lol

Also, I was under the impression that he wanted to go to Italy! Time will tell mate! I'm fed up with the transfer crap already

  13. Graybo says:

Good call, Goatygav, and neatly achieved without mentioning the dreaded P word (Pr*j*ct) ;)
