been a fan since 74.. here's a few names you missed... Julian Dicks, Frank mcAvennie, Tony cottee. Is my memory correct that the year these two scored loads there was a Tv ban on, Ray Stewart, David Cross just for tblisi, Alvin Martin, Phil Parkes with his dodgy knees, and i cant fault you with Geoff pike. Went to notts county away in the cup.. Francois van der Elst got a hatrick so he' s a personal choice and to finish how about the managers' Lyall and Greenwood?

Tim Breacher, Steve Lomas, Ian Bishop, John Mcdowell, Ronnie Boyce, Stevie Potts and George Parris...................Geoff Pike , Patsy Holland.
My favourite unsung strikers David "Psycho" Cross and Paul "Sarge" Goddard
John Sissons is a memory from my early days, well I was 5 at the time
I have a colour Evening Standard pullout of the 64 final and a fresh face John Sissons is in the team photo at UP.........good memories.

I also think that the Band that played on the pitch in the 60's and the Hammerettes are unsung heroes too xD

yes Steamhammer of course you're right - memory playing tricks there...
It must have been the autumn of 1959 - I can almost hear 'Joe' saying something like "two boys from our school...etc", at least that part is vivid!.
I'll have my medication now , nurse.....

Another old East Ham Grammar schoolboy here. Used to play alongside Peter Hucker, Nicky Morgan and Steve Whitton in the school team. Sadly none of these three enter this category, but were all good players.

Good choice. Seem to remember a great goal, ironically against Man City, which he hit from the halfway line. (Hope I've got that right)

My own personal unsung favourites in no particular order in addition to most of those mentioned above- John Sissons, Kevin Keen, Jim Standen, and for some inexplicable reason Dudley Tyler. The crowd loved him despite not seeing much of him.
As for Reo-Coker above - the only Coker worth a mention is Ade.

Out of the 34000 regular attendees on match days, I'd say around 32000 of 'em are fairly unsung. I certainly don't hear too much singing from them most weeks!
