Quite a few people have been complaining that their comments haven’t been appearing quickly enough. The system is supposed to be that once you have had an initial comment approved, all other comments appear automatically, assuming you are using the same IP address. I think the problem is where people don’t have static IP addresses.
So in the short term I have taken comment moderation off. This is a risky thing to do for obvious reasons. All I can do is ask you all to be vigilant and to self moderate. If you see an inappropriate post, use the Report This Comment facility and I will look at it and delete it as soon as I can.
In the meantime I will try to get to the bottom of why the system has a weakness and see if it can be corrected.

Whilst you are at it, could you ask your tech man to sort this one out as well;
When you used to post a comment if you pressed refresh it would automaticaly take you to the bottom of the current page, whereas now you are taken all the way back to the first page (which can be very frustrating if it's a look thread).
Gott agree Jolly, it is a major pain in the arse! I'm actually preferring the old system!

I was just watching Zola at a forum with Wenger and Moyes at the emirates and it stood out like a sore thumb that he is by far a coach than he will ever be a manager.His strength is a daily developement of improving the player,s skill rather then barking orders on matchday I think he may be wearing to many hats whereas Wenger and Moyes seem organised and structured anyone else think that?

Wenger, he does bark instructions out. And he probally gives his team a towelling at in the changing rooms. He seems more frustrated now than he use to be and im sure he takes it out on his players.
Zola i doubt he would never scream instructions to the players when they are on the pitch. Maybe in the dressing room its a different story.

Green was spot on the other day. We need to get our basics right. Last season we got some great results away playing 5 in midfield with a lone striker.
Not sure about Sol, he knew what he was getting into at Notts but I have always been a fan of his in the England team. As I understand it he is still not allowed to move until January, a rule to stop side deals outside the window etc, so we have time to get our back line ready.
Although I am a fan of the current management team from Scott down, I am concerned that we sold the wrong player. The rumours of Collison and Upson going to Liverpool do not help either…

You're right. You can only move outside the window if you're on a free, which is not the case if you walk away from your contract (unless you can prove the club has committed a major breach of same).

Aussie Graham if this is true, it just hi-lights the problem we have had at the club ever since it started. Lack of funds! Don't get me wrong I have no aspiration to want 100's of millions like Man City but I do feel that we are always held back. Imagine Zola having 20 million per year to spend. Spuds spend that per transfer window and more. I just feel we need a little push, this combined with our Academy would see us kick on. Is it just me, or is anyone else getting that feeling of deja vu? Not so long back we started the new season on the crest of a wave, with a reasonably successful season behind us, and two new young Argentinian "super-stars" to help us push forward to greater things. But defeat followed defeat and we should have gone down, but for the heroic final few results. After a reasonable last season, this one started well enough with a win, and we added two or three cast-offs approaching the end of their careers to the playing staff. So here we are again getting into the habit of losing matches we should have won, and confidence plummeting on a weekly basis! Hold on a minute, I have spent the last 50 years counting the points needed for survival from the first kick-off – why should this season be any different!!?

If that is true Graham, then that really is admirable. In the same article (http://www.kumb.com/story.php?id=124440), it says that CB Holdings didn't believe we needed another striker. Can't see much truth in that (aside from the financial disadvantage of paying wages), although Franco's capture might make the club some money if Cole is injured in particular.

I isigned up to intensedebate in the hope that my comments would be posted quicker – not sure I am fully up to speed on the new format, but I guess I need to use it more often.
I have noticed that more people seem to be posting comments and the debate flows a lot better. I like being able to follow a debate/ thread rather than having to read the comments posted all in the same way, especially as I do not always have time to read every comment posted.
Hopefully I will post more often, but will be glad to see my comments on the website quicker. Generally I thumbs up for the new format and how the site is developing and for having SJ sub editting, I have always valued his contribution to the comments and overall direction of debate.
Hopefully have now sorted my log in thing but it has been a right pain in the arse!
