Diamanti: He Shoots, He Scores (Twice)

I’m still in Armenia and am about to go to bed – it’s four hours ahead of the UK here. But I had to post this. The reserves are playing Birmingham at Upton Park tonight, and they have been putting in an unbelievable performance. Highlights so far…

* Behrami plays 66 minutes and comes off grinning from ear to ear.
* Xavon Hines scores a hattrick
* Bondz N’Gala scores

And… wait for it…

* Allessandro Diamanti hits two thirty yard screaming free kicks, both of which result in goals. Well if that doesn’t guarantee him a start against Wigan, I don’t know what will.

We put out a strong side and it has paid off. As I write we’re 6-0 up.

Stech, Ferrari, Daprela, N’Gala, Da Costa, Payne, Quashie, Behrami, Hines, Nouble, Diamanti. Subs: Street, Fry, Zola, Kearns, Edgar
