One of the papers today reckons Derby are about to sign Calym Davenport for £1 million. If som this is a joke. We only bought him in January and paid £3 million for him. I have always rated him and think he will be a major asset for us. OK, he didn’t set us alight but he didn’t let us down either. We’d be mad to sell him for £1 million.
That would be crap I also think he is pretty good…:(

I don’t like him. We got a better player in Ferdinand. We paid over the odds for him and hopefully we’ll get most of that money back when we sell him…
if there is any truth in it it sums up what a super eye for players Curbs has. Maybe we can get rid of Quashie and Boa Morte too
I think he was brought in a time when we desperately needed players and he was available…..as he’d been with us before Curbs thought he’d fit straight into the squad.
At best he’s only ever going to be a squad player. I won’t be sorry to see him go, but equally happy to see him stay.
From a Southampton fan: probably the biggest reason we got relegated was Davenport. Am sure he’s a nice guy, but a defender? A £3m player? Cut your losses while you can!
he s young enough to improve, but it s still hard to see him being better than a good substitute. we did pay over the odds ,but at the time we were desperate given the injuries to the back 4. still, one wud think we cud do better than 1 million for him.
Davenport is a very good player and will be an asset to West Ham given the chance to prove himself. definately worth more than 1 million!!

Davenport is a good player for the Championship but NOT Premiership.
