Where Are They Now: Dani

Remember Dani? Harry Redknapp always seemed reluctant to play him, but he was surely one of the most talented players to pull on a Hammers shirt. I remember the goal he scored at White Hart Lane very well.

So what happened to him? Where is he now?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_da_Cruz_Carvalho – unfortunately he is now retired. One of those players who never quite lived up to his promise.

He was a talented player, but like many Portuguese attackers, he was more style than substance. Harry did have a penchant for continental pretty-boy chancers I remember.

Wasn’t he rather fond of nightclubbing? He’s fit in rather well now don’t you think?

On his debut he came on as sub and immediately tried a shot from the half way line. He completely mis-hit it and travelled only a few yards. He didn’t get much better after that.

Just thought I would remind you all of one of our ‘Arry’s best quotes..

Dani? He is so good looking I don’t know whether to play him or sh*g him…
